Prestige Care Inc., a leader in exceptional senior living and skilled nursing care, today announced that its affiliate Bristol Hospice – Oregon, has been named a 2013 Hospice Honors recipient. Bristol Hospice – Oregon is a subsidiary of Bristol Hospice and Homecare – Northwest, which is owned by Prestige Care and nationally recognized hospice provider Bristol Hospice, L.L.C.

This prestigious annual honor, established by Deyta, recognizes the top 100 organizations in the country that provide consistent quality care to patients. In reaching its decision, Deyta reviewed family satisfaction survey results from more than 1,200 hospice agencies throughout the nation.

“This award is a great achievement for Bristol Hospice, and one that affirms what we’ve already seen in them – that they deliver exceptional hospice care to our patients,” said Harold Delamarter, President and CEO of Prestige Care. “Bristol Hospice exemplifies what we seek in a health care partner, and we offer our most heartfelt congratulations.”

Together, Prestige Care and Bristol Hospice and Homecare Northwest offer an expanding continuum of care that focuses on a family-centered approach to providing specialized clinical care to hospice and homecare patients by compassionate caregivers and interdisciplinary professionals.

Through their partnership, Bristol Hospice has expanded Prestige’s ability to provide comprehensive hospice and home health care to residents within its family of Portland-area senior living, rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers.

Prestige’s care philosophy is rooted in a set of values that deliver on a promise to provide exceptional care, guided by a compassionate heart.

Bristol Hospice programs provide hospice services to meet the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients, families and caregivers. An interdisciplinary group of professionals and volunteers develops an individualized plan of care which includes services like nursing, counseling, spiritual support, therapy and dietary services.

“Hospice Honors defines a new standard of excellence in the patient and family experience for hospice agencies,” said Liz Silva, Deyta’s Director of Hospice. “Identifying these top-performing hospices is our way of recognizing organizations that have demonstrated high quality of care to both patients and caregivers. That positive family experience is a key driver of ongoing patient-focused care and overall agency success.”

Deyta partners with thousands of hospice and other healthcare organizations to simplify data on care effectiveness, enabling consumers and care providers to efficiently process useful information and make knowledgeable choices when seeking a care provider.
